ALBANY ? Confetti Stage, Inc. announces auditions for its upcoming productions of Blanche Marvin?s ?Peter and the Wolf?
?Peter and the Wolf? synopsis:
a parody of Checkhov?s  The Cherry Orchard.  It shows the child?s confusion when faced with the adult world, particularly the selling of their house at auction.  In Act II, one proceeds to retell the story, but in terms of the child?s point of view.  Adults become the animals, matching their colors and disposition from human to animal.  The Prokofeiv score is kept in its entirety throughout the second act.
 
Auditions will be June 14 at 7:00pm at the Confetti Stage Studio in the Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 40 Russell Road.  Rehearsals begin June 16.
 
Auditions are open to actors ages 12 to adult.  There are roles for 2 women, 4 men, and 1 boy.  Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.  Pay is possible.  Performances will be July 15, 16, & 17.  Possible performances in other cities will be discussed with the cast at the first rehearsal and subject to cast and board approval.
