About the filmmaker, Atin Gupta 

I am 25 years old and came from India to the US in 2001 to attend the  
graduate program in Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,  
Troy, NY. Since graduating in 2003, I have been working as an electrical  
engineer for a company in Albany, NY. I have a keen interest in filmmaking and  
recently completed a 15-page script that I am now planning to  shoot.

THE PROJECT:
The story is about how some  people undergo a complete reversal in their 
nature over a period of time. This  is depicted through Amanda, a 25 year old, 
single mother who is an assistant to  a dentist named Richard, who is 35. Amanda 
starts out as a good-hearted,  tolerant and somewhat naive person who is 
ridiculed by Richard and has to put up  with his short temper and arrogance. 
Richard is married but is dating Amanda.  The relationship between Amanda and 
Richard is observed by Zach ( 22 y.o.) who  is Richard's patient. Zach is attending 
dental school and works as a waiter on  the side. One night, he waits on 
Amanda and Richard and again witnesses Amanda's  inability to see through Richard. 
Zach develops a liking towards Amanda, part  love for her nice nature and part 
mercy for the way she is treated.

Over  a period of 8 years, Richard loses his dental practice and ends up as a 
waiter.  Zach is now a dentist and Amanda is his assistant. Zach is married 
but is dating  Amanda, who has remained in the same position professionally but 
has changed  completely as a person. She now embodies Richard, she is cold 
and superficial.  Zach, on the other hand, is extremely nice to her, starkingly 
similar to the way  she used to be, although not as naive. Richard gets a dose 
of his own bitter  medicine when he goes to Zach as a patient and also has to 
wait on Amanda and  Zach.

Instead of following the events in a chronological order, the  script orders 
the events in such a way that the change in Amanda's character is  highlighted.

PRODUCTION:
The movie will be shot  digitally in 24 fps with a Panasonic DVX100A by a 
professional cinematographer  from NYC. The locations will be a restaurant and a 
dentist's office in the  capital region. The shoot will be 2 days long and is 
targeted for early  June.


CAST:
All must be attractive actors, slender to medium  build.   
Amanda - 25 y.o. white female (ages to 33)
Zach - 22 y.o. white male. (ages to 30)
Richard - 35 y.o. white male.  (ages to 43)
 
COMPENSATION  
-$200 deferred flat rate
-Experience of working with a professional  cinematographer
-Credits (The movie will be submitted to many film festivals,  national and 
international)
-DVD of the movie
-Decent  meals
-Opportunities on future paid projects
