The Eight: Reindeer Monologues

A dark, dark Christmas comedy. Scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment. 
As mass media descends upon the event, the other members of the sleigh team demand to share their perspectives, and a horrific tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to the tainted Saint himself. 
With each deer's confession, the truth behind the shocking allegations becomes clearer and clearer. ...and murkier and murkier.
Production dates are November 30 - December 3 at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy, NY.
Auditions October 10 & 12 @ 7pm

Roles Available
Dasher - male - The "#1" Reindeer and he knows it!
Cupid - male - The "godess of love" only openly gay reindeer on the team
Hollywood - male - hip "star" very concerned with his career
Blitzen - female - total feminist, backs Vixen totally
Comet - male - rebellious teenager type who has been rehabilitated by Santa
Dancer - female - ballet dancer at heart (probably blonde ;-)
Donner - male - Rudolph's dad regrets getting his son involved with The Team
Vixen - female - sexy and seductive accuses Santa of the crime
 
Prepare one verse of a well-known Christmas Carol to be sung a cappella and a one-minute contemporary comic monologue.  Be prepared to read cold from the script as well.
