Would you "CONSIDER YOURSELF" for someone who wants to
try out for the classic musical, "OLIVER" at
Schenectady Light Opera Company(SLOC)?  Then come on
down to 826 State Street; Sept. 5, 6 and 7th, 2006 at
7pm.

Director, Thomas Dalton Bambury, Musical Director,
Cathy Mele, Producer, Marlene Countermine are excited
@ SLOC's second production in it's 80th Anniversary
season.  Please prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre
selection. Audition number does not have to be from
OLIVER. Accompanist will be provided.

There are MANY featured roles in this show. Some
principal roles are:


1) OLIVER TWIST(casting 9-14 years old): Tenor; quiet,
shy but with a heart of gold.

2) ARTFUL DODGER(casting 10-15 yrs old): Baritone,
Wiley, energetic street urchin.

3) FAGIN(casting 35++): Baritone, leader of the street
boys; Quite the character role! .

4) NANCY(casting 25++): wide range of singing; has had
a bad upbringing, a survivor; Shares Oliver's heart of
gold.


5) BILL SIKES(casting 30++): Bass/Baritone; street
thug; very much a loner with intentions; Great
character role! .


OTHER ROLES include:  MR & MRS SOWERBERRY(40++ yrs
old; in the Funeral Parlour); MR BUMBLE(40++ yrs old).



Adult auditions are Sept 5 and Sept 7th; Children's
auditions(7-15 yrs of age) on Sept 6th... BUT if for
some reason an adult or child cannot make these
"specific" evenings, please feel free to show up any
of the 3 nights.  SLOC will be casting up to 28
people, including children and adults. There are
numerous ensemble roles & musical numbers, too!


Production staff also include: Doug Peek(set
design/construction); Greg Rucinski(Lighting
Design/Execution); Jodi Gilman(Properties); Joel
Lord(sound design); Regina Baker(Stage Manager); Donna
Baxter and Dave Dixon(Publicity).  If anyone is
