Dear Colleagues,
Stageworks is holding Equity auditions for the next two plays of our
2006 season on Monday, July 10.
Non Equity actors are able to audition on the same day, following the
AEA auditions.
We are interested in getting the word out to regional actors and would
appreciate it if you could broadcast or post this announcement to

DOG STORIES by Keith Huff Professional world premiere.
Directed by Laura Margolis
Begin rehearsals: July 31
Runs: Aug. 23rd - Sept. 10th
DOG STORIES is a 4 character play with an elderly man, his dog and two
actors, one male and one female, who play multiple roles.
SEEKING:
Role of Ira:
[MALE] 60+ years old, an elderly man, whose wife just died and whose dog
is dying, searches for a ray of sunshine. No dialogue but requires a
very physically expressive presence.
Role of Sebastian:
[MALE/FEMALE] Adult, able to play a lovable, loyal but old and dying
dog. No dialogue but requires very expressive and convincing physical
ability.
Roles of ANDY, a homeless man; ROHMER, a rambling man; HANK, a
policeman; DOOBEY, a cab driver:
[MALE] 25-40 years old, able to play a range of roles and accents from
scabby NYC derelict to caring Chicago cabbie to motor-mouth to AWOL
soldier from NJ.
Roles of: ELISE, Ira's daughter; LUCY, a certified veterinary
technician; DONNA, an airline stewardess; BIG BETTY, a convict on the
lam; FIONA, a waitress:
[FEMALE] 25-40 years old, able to play a range of roles and accents from
an excessively sentimental, NYC veterinarian's assistant to a
gum-snapping, Chicago diner waitress to an escaped convict, belching
champion "Big Betty."

DRACULA: THE JOURNAL OF JONATHAN HARKER by Jim Helsinger
Regional Premiere Director: TBA
Rehearsals begin: October 2
Runs: October 18- 29
All roles in DRACULA are played by one actor:
SEEKING:
[MALE] 30's to 40's; Plays multiple roles including Dracula, Dr. Van
Helsing, Mina Harker, Quincy Morris, Arthur Holmwood and Renfield.

Please Note:
Non Equity actors are welcome to call for an audition appointment.
Auditions will will take place following the Equity auditions. Salary
for non Equity actors is $100-$200 per week. Non AEA actors may also be
asked to work with the company as interns. Responsibilities may include
rehearsals plus 6 to 10 hours per week as interns.
Roles in the season are open to Non-Traditional Casting. Stageworks
encourages all performers to audition.
