HMT HOLDING SECOND ROUND OF AUDITIONS FOR URINETOWN ON TUESDAY, JUNE 20th!!!

Saratoga Springs' HMT is pleased to announce continuing open auditions for
two remaining male roles for their October production of URINETOWN: THE
MUSICAL. The production will be directed by Jonathan Whitton (A MAN OF NO
IMPORTANCE, THE LARAMIE PROJECT) with Musical Direction by Carol Hawks.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at 7pm at The Arts Center
Theater, 320 Broadway Saratoga Springs. Actors should use the Broadway
entrance to the theater.

With a title as intriguing as it is impolite, this wacky tuneful satire,
fresh from Broadway, comically spoofs the genre of musicals.  Imagine a city
suffering from drought where a villainous corporate monopoly named Urine
Good Company imposes a fee for the use of public latrines, and the stage is
set for gushing hilarity.  Reeking with inspired silliness, colorful
characters, and 2002 Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Book, the pointed
finger of parody pokes good-natured fun at everything from corporate greed
and politics to boy-meets-girl romance and good-versus-evil.

Praised for reinvigorating the very notion of what a musical could be,
URINETOWN catapults the ³comedic romp² into the new millennium with its
outrageous perspective, wickedly modern wit, and sustained ability to
produce gales of unbridled laughter.

Be amongst the first in the region to be onstage in the show that had NY
Critics raving:

³URINETOWN is simply the most galvanizing theater experience in town.² -New
York Times

³Pure Gold!² - New York Post

³A fresh, unique, original, impudent, colorful, exciting, irreverent,
surprising and wonderful musical.² - New York Observer
