The 2006 summer production at the Colonial Little Theatre in Johnstown, NY
will be  ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, adapted by Donald Harron, music by Norman
Campbell, from the Novel by L. M. Montgomery. Lyrics by Donald Harron and
Noman Campbell.  Additional lyrics by Mavor Moore and Elaine Campbell.
Production Dates: August 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 2006
Audition Dates: May 1, 2 at 6:00 pm; Callbacks: Sunday, May 7. Audition
Requirements: Cold reading or prepared monologue, prepared musical theatre
selection preferred, especially to be considered for a lead role.  Ages 12
to Adult.  One Colonial Court, Johnstown, NY. 518-762-4325
Rehearsal Schedule: Sundays at 4:00 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm.
Some Mondays as needed. No rehearsal May 28, 29 or July 2-3. Rehearsals
begin May 15.  Cast size: 30+.

ROLES AVAILABLE
Anne Shirley: Able to play age15-18. Mature Soprano, a solid A.  Anne is an
orphan who comes to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert.  Extensive
singing and dialogue.
Matthew Cuthbert: Able to play age 50-60. Low baritone. Marilla's brother,
very shy and loving. Extensive singing and dialogue.

Marilla Cuthbert: Able to play age 40-50. Mezzo.  Marilla is a stern woman,
with lots of love and warmth under the surface.  Extensive singing and
dialogue.

Diana Barry: Able to play age15-18. Soprano. Diana becomes best friends with
Anne.  Extensive dialogue and singing.

Gilbert Bythe:  Able to play age16-20 High baritone/Tenor.  Schoolmate of
Anne's, gets off on the wrong foot.    Very competitive with Anne but deep
down, likes her.  Extensive singing and dialogue.

SUPPORTING ROLES
Mrs. Rachel Lynde: Able to play age 30-50. Town busybody. Dialogue and small
ensemble and group singing.
Mrs. Barry: Able to play age 30-40. Diana's mother. Some dialogue and group
singing.
Mrs. Blewett: Able to play age 30-40.  Nasty disposition, mother of eight.
Group singing and dialogue.
Mr. Phillips, the schoolmaster: Able to play age 20-25. Some singing and
dialogue.
Miss Stacy, the schoolmistress: Able to play age 20-30. Mezzo. Some solo
singing and dialogue.
