Confetti Stage Audition Announcement
 
Confetti Stage announces auditions for it upcoming production of Jeff Goode’s ultra dark comedy The Eight: Reindeer Monologues.
 
Auditions will take place Friday, October 13 at 7pm and Tuesday, October 17 at 7pm at The Women’s Building, 79 Central Avenue, Albany, NY.
 
Those auditioning are asked to prepare a one minute comic monologue and be prepared to read cold from the script. Headshots and resumes are NOT required, but feel free to bring them if you have them.
 
There are many roles for men and women ages 18 and up. THIS PRODUCTION IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES. IF YOU ARE NOT OLD ENOUGH TO AUDITION, OR STILL BELIEVE IN SANTA CLAUS, PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.  THANK YOU.
 
Roles available include:
 
Dasher – Male (The first reindeer and he knows it!!)
Cupid – Male (the GodESS of love)
Hollywood – Male (Prancer – although after the movie, the north pole gig doesn’t do it for him)
Blitzen – Female (Feminist very pointed in her views – lesbian or at the very least bi-sexual)
Comet – Male (Conservative in his recount of the scandal surrounding the North Pole)
Dancer – Female (stereotypical dancer/blonde)
Donner – Male (Rudolph’s father – down on his luck is a way of life for him)
Vixen – Female (Sultry, seductive, and strong, accuses Santa Claus of raping her in the toy shop, thus bringing this scandal to the North Pole 
 
 
 
Rehearsals will begin October 23, 2006 at The Women’s Building.
 
Performances will be held at various locations throughout the Capital District in late November and early December.
