AUDITIONS FOR THE APPLE TREE

Spotlight Players will be holding auditions for a February production of "The Apple Tree" , December 4th and 6th at Columbia High School, 962 Luther Road in East Greenbush.  Sign-in begins at 7pm, with auditions starting at 7:30pm.  Adult male and female actors should prepare 16 bars of a song and come prepared to read from the script.

"The Apple Tree" is a series of three one-act musical playlets with music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Each act has its own storyline, but all three are tied together by a common theme and common references.  The first act is based on Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve; the second act is based on Frank R. Stockton's The Lady or the Tiger?; the third act is based on Jules Feiffer's Passionella.   "The Apple Tree" will be produced as a Directors Showcase, with esteemed Capital Region Directors Barbara Mahlmann, Kim Orlando and Sky Vogel each directing one act.
