ATTENTION SLUGGERS!
GET OUT OF THE DUGOUT AND HIT A HOME RUN WITH SCT
AS WE AUDITION FOR DAMN YANKEES

Synopsis

Middle aged real estate salesman and armchair athlete Joe Boyd would
give anything to see his sad Washington Senators ball team beat the
invincible NY Yankees and win the pennant---even sell his soul to the
deliciously devilish Applegate.

Step up to the plate with SCT as the long ball hitter, Joe Hardy, that
the Senators need, appears as if from nowhere, and helps to propel the
team up the ranks.

Though young Shoeless Joe is increasingly successful, he truly misses
his wife Meg and begins boarding with her. Meg and the young man begin
to bond. Fearful of losing his deal, Mr. Applegate calls Lola, "the best
homewrecker on my staff", to seduce Joe and thereby ensure his soul to
Applegate. Lola promises to deliver.

At the last possible second, Joe invokes his escape clause, reversing
the deal and making him old again. He is still able, though, to slug a
home run and win the Senators the pennant!

Applegate promises to make Joe young again, and even ensure a World
Series victory. But his powers are useless against the pair's true love,
which Lola points out. Applegate shouts that such a thing cannot
exist-but he is wrong. He and Lola vanish, defeated, with Joe and Meg
united again forever.

Wind's in the east, mist comin' in. Like something is brewin' about to
begin.. Can't put me finger on what lies in store.. But I feel what's to
happen, all happened before.
