Sunshine Boys is both an homage to the history of comic theater and a
tribute to the performers who made it so memorable. Al Lewis and Willy
Clark, known as "Lewis and Clark" were the funniest team in Vaudeville for
43 years. Despite their legendary reputation, the two men have not spoken to
each other in 12 years until Clark’s nephew attempts to bring them together
to perform their old act on a CBS comedy special. Their cantankerous reunion
sparks delirious comedy that is perhaps Simon’s most celebrated play.
However, Sunshine Boys is more than a comedy - while it splinters your funny
bone, it will touch your heart. You’ll leave heart-warmed and smiling.
