The Wizard of OZ Auditions
Mon., May 12 and Wed.,  May 14, 
Sign-ups begin at 7:00PM
Location:  Village Plaza, Clifton Country Road (next door to Bellini's)
Production dates are July 11-20, 2008  
 
 
Clifton Park: Not So Common Players are "off to see the Wizard"!  That's
right! Auditions for adults (age 14+) for The Wizard of OZ will be held
May 12 & 14 at the Not So Common Players storefront rehearsal space
located in the Village Plaza, Clifton Country Road (next door to
Bellini's; same Plaza as Hannaford & Toys are Us).  Sign-ups begin at
7:00 p.m.  
 
Children's auditions (ages 6+ for Munchkin roles) and callbacks will be
held May 17 at the Clifton Park Senior Center, Vischer Ferry Road.
Sign-ups begin at 1:00 pm.  No adults will be allowed to accompany their
child into the audition hall.  PLEASE NOTE:  Auditionees for the role of
Dorothy should prepare to sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for their
audition.   
 
 Both adults and children should prepare 16-bars of music from a
Broadway show, and bring appropriate sheet music.  An accompanist will
be provided.  There will be a dance audition.  Performers should dress
for movement.

Most of the cast will play multiple roles. This show demands a dedicated
group of actors so unless you have made arrangements with the director
by the first rehearsal, attendance to all rehearsals and dance workshops
is mandatory.  A tentative rehearsal schedule will be available for
viewing at the auditions.

Sponsored by the Town of Clifton Park, production dates are July 11-20,
2008 on the Clifton Common.  Laura W. Andruski directs, with vocal
direction by Pat Douglass, choreography by Sara Paupini and Richard
Lenehan producing.  Barret Germain will conduct the orchestra.
