Synopsis:
"AUTHORS" is a comedy about three authors (Samuel, 18th c. poet; Amelia, 19th c. novelist; Daniel, contemporary playwright) who are each struggling with his/her own writing difficulties and personal problems. Though it’s a comedy, it does have it share of sincere, honest moments.
The three authors are on stage the entire time, each in their own "world". They can communicate to one another OR each can communicate with his/her "real life"
wife/mother/girlfriend, but NOT both at the same time. Their three worlds are established through use of lighting. Length: approx. 45 minutes

Sensitive, hard-working Daniel, who had a one-hit success with a play, also can't escape his late father’s shadow; meanwhile, his loving, unflinchingly honest wife, Melissa, feels left out of his life and wants to have a family.
Kind-hearted, frustrated Amelia is struggling with the conventions of her time and trying to support her family, which consists of her mother, Mrs. Furlough, who is supportive of her.
Fun-loving Samuel is avoiding all responsibility in his life, to the dismay of his sassy girl, Constance, who is hoping he will take his life and their relationship seriously.
Performance dates:
Wed. 7/24, Sun. 7/27, Thurs 7/30, Wed 8/1, Sun. 8/3 (weeknights 7:30pm, weekends 2pm)
