[Capdist-auditions] Ushers needed for Anything Goes @ SLOC

[SLOC Ushers]

Hello! 
SLOC is currently looking to expand its volunteer list for ushers for the remainder of this season as we as the upcoming 2008-2009 season.  
 
Ushers are currently needed for most performances throughout the remainder of the run of Anything Goes. 
Specifically: 
 
Fri 5/9   8:00 pm show - ushers should report to theater by 7:10 pm
Sat 5/10   8:00 pm show - ushers should report to theater by 7:10 pm
Sun 5/11   2:00 pm show - ushers should report to theater by 1:10 pm
 
Sat 5/17   8:00 pm show - ushers should report to theater by 7:10 pm
Sun 5/18   2:00 pm show - ushers should report to theater by 1:10 pm
 
Primary ushering duties include the following:
 

Arrive 45-50 minutes prior to curtain to prepare theater for opening - straighten chairs, stuff programs, receive any last minute changes/updates as applicable.  When seating patrons, please point out locations of steps in the theater, hand out programs.  There are 3 specified "usher seats" to be maned at exits of theater.  The ushers in these seats will have a flashlight and will be responsible for seating late arrivals and helping others in and out of the theater during the performances, as needed.
 

The head usher will inform you is help is needed downstairs at the concession stand during intermission.  If so, at the start of intermission, please go downstairs to help at the concession stand.  
 

When the show ends, the theater should be straightened up.  Pick up any stray drinks, candy wrappers, programs, etc.  Straighten rows of chairs.  
 

Other duties may be given out by the head usher based on needs for the evening.
