SPECIFIC INFO FOR ONE “POP-UP” PLAY:

Come Audition for “A DATE: IN SIX ROUNDS” by Julie Demers!

(one act, comedy, approx. 25-30 min).

PREMISE

A typical young man and woman (Female, Male) endure a first date together. Each is haunted by society’s expectations, represented by “voices” (played by Female 2 and Male 2), who follow them throughout their date, telling them how they are expected to behave! No one but Male or Female can hear or see these voices, until things begin to fall apart at the end. On top of that, the date is divided into rounds (gettting ready, going to dinner, getting coffee, etc.) after each of which the Announcer tallies up their points! (And you thought your first date was stressful!)

CAST OF CHARACTERS

Female 2:                     Female’s voice who tells her what society expects her to do.
