[Capdist-auditions] ACT opportunity to assist with set design and construction: August 22 and 29

Albany Civic Theater(ACT) is creating an elegant arts & crafts country house for our first Fall '09 production, Agatha Christie's "The Hollow",
which opens September 18, 2009. 

Rich Montena, a master set designer, has created the set and
will be coordinating set construction on Saturday August 22 and 29, from 9am-2pm. Volunteers are needed to assist. 

Here are the primary
tasks planned:  

carpentry; faux finishes application; building a simple table; upholstery for a couch;   painting/finishes; creating a realistic garden; installing pictures and accessories;  and, "graining" the floor.

It will be very helpful if you can let Rich know by e-mail (rmonte1 at yahoo.com) which Saturday(s) you can work. When responding, please put
"Building the Hollow" in the subject line. If you are available for
work during the week, let Rich know. He may be able to accommodate your
schedule. 

We have tools and supplies to work with and its an
opportunity to learn new skills. You will receive a pair of
complimentary tickets and your name in the program for "The Hollow" for
your efforts. Join in on the fun!
