SLOC Musical Theater Announces Auditions for:
SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM
December 16 & 18, 7:00 PM Sign In
826 State Street, Schenectady
** Those auditioning are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of a Sondheim piece; other composers will be entertained. An accompanist will be provided. There will also be a movement audition incorporated into the evening. 
-An extensive range for both male and female singers is a significant plus, but not mandatory.
--Vocalists familiar with both light opera and musical theater performing are encouraged to audition.
** A non gender specific Narrator will also be cast in this production

SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM, an elegant and glorious celebration and tribute to the music of Tony, Grammy, Oscar, and Pulitzer Prize winning composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. This intimate evening has been entertaining international theatergoers since its inception in1976 and Broadway debut in 1977.
--Cast in this production will be singing actors who must be concise and articulate interpreters of Sondheim’s lyrics, with the ability to segue from key-change to song style, and can seamlessly balance multiple characters’ nuances with ease.
*While not specifically considered a musical review, but an actual stage presentation, Side By Side By Sondheim will also be casting individuals with comic timing and an excellent physical presence, typical of traditional musical theater.
