JOHNSTOWN ---- Theatre Workshop, the Colonial Little Theatre playwrights' group, has posted auditions for the staged reading of "Crossing the Blue Line," an original play by Philip Potak.

The auditions will be held Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Johnstown Senior Citizens Service Center, 109 E. Main St.

The staged reading of the full-length play will be presented March 6 and 7 at Colonial Little Theatre, 1 Colonial Court.

Leta Aldous will direct the two-act comedy/drama.

A stranger appears at an Adirondack hunting camp during a snow storm. He is not who he appears to be. He takes the multi-generational upstate hunters by surprise and then the tables turn.

There are roles for five men:

Stu ---- 50s, nostalgic and fretful, a victim of high blood pressure, and perpetrator of bad puns.

Riley ---- Sixty something but not old in his temperament. Originally from New England, he has resided in the upstate New York town of Arcadis for more than 40 years.

Earl ---- Mid-30s, originally from Long Island but has lived in Arcadis for more than half his life.

Tommy ---- 17 years old. He tends to be quiet and low-keyed, but always seems to be listening.

Edgar Harrington ---- Mid 40s, a smartly dressed, city-bred writer with an English accent.
