THE UNFINISHED SONG
Written and Directed by Jacob Brode
Produced by Ashley Veatch
Daniel is an ordinary man living an ordinary life. He wakes up, goes
to work, returns home to his wife, goes to sleep. Repeat as
necessary. Then one day, he finds that his wife Mary has
disappeared. Very suddenly, he finds his life crumbling to pieces
around him. In his struggles to find his wife and regain control
over his life, he finds himself plagued by a pair of mysterious
figures. One is the man in the car, who seems to be taking away the
pieces of Daniel's life, bit by bit. The other is the girl at the
piano, with an eerily familiar song that Daniel desperately wishes to
hear the ending to. But what he does hear may ultimately bring his
world to an end.
Dramatic monologues are welcome, but not necessary. Cast includes
four males, two females, and four to six extras. Performance dates
are Friday, March 27, at 8pm, Saturday, March 28 at 8pm, and Sunday,
March 29 at 2pm.
The RPI Players is a student run community theatre. While RPI
students are the primary participants in the organization, auditions
and production roles are open to all community members.
