Furth and Sondheim’s
Company
A Tony Award winning musical with a plot that revolves around Bobby, a single man unable to commit fully to a steady relationship (let alone marriage), the five couples who are his best friends and his three girlfriends.  The musical is composed of short vignettes, presented in no particular chronological order, linked by a celebration for Bobby’s 35th birthday.

Auditions for Company are scheduled for March 12th and 13th at the Schuylerville High School beginning at 6:30 PM for registration and 7:00 PM start time.  Be prepared to do some movement and sing a 32 bar cut from the show, which will be provided at the time if the audition.  You will have the opportunity to learn the music that night. 
 
The ensemble includes a broad cast of characters for both male and female actors.  While some of the characters have an age range, Directors Clark and Searles have indicated that there is flexibility to go above and below the ranges.

	*                    - Robert – Lead - his 35th birthday brings the group together - baritone/tenor

	* The Married Couples:

	*                    - Sarah - Learning karate and has food issues – mezzo-soprano 
	*                    - Harry - An alcoholic who has control issues - baritone 
	*                    - Susan - A gracious Southern belle who suffers from fainting spells – mezzo-soprano 
	*                    - Peter - Happier divorced, with Susan he has a secret - baritone 
	*                    - Jenny - Sweet, but a bit square - soprano 
	*                    - David - Chic and smokes pot with Robert - tenor 
	*                    - Amy - Neurotic, gets cold feet on her wedding day - alto 
	*                    - Paul (Steve Elmore) - Amy's fiancé, Jewish - tenor 
	*                    - Joanne - Acerbic friend of Robert's - alto 
	*                    - Larry - Joanne's latest husband - tenor 
	* 
	* The Girlfriends: 
	* 
	*                    - April - A flight attendant, a bit simple – mezzo-soprano 
	*                    - Marta - Hip and loves New York - mezzo-soprano 
	*                    - Kathy - A small town girl, disaffected by New York – mezzo-soprano 
	* 
Interested persons are invited to join the ensemble on-stage or off-stage with the production crew.  Assistance is needed in many areas.  Please contact Tracy or Niver if you are interested.--
