Penultimate Notice! 








 The Colonial Little Theatre, in Johnston, NY, will be holding auditions for “Bus Stop,” a comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winning American author William Inge, on Monday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 p.m.  Randy McConnach will direct. 
 
In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a roadside diner.  All roads are blocked, and the weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning.   
 
The Cast: 
 
Elma Duckworth, a waitress, a big eyed girl still in high school. 
 
Grace Hoylard, owner of the restaurant, a more seasoned woman (than Elma). 
 
Will Masters, a sheriff, a saturnine man with a large presence.   

Cherie, a chanteuse (a female night club singer), a young girl of about 20.  She's pretty, fragile, and girlish. 

Dr. Gerald Lyman, a former college professor, about 50, medium height, ruddy boyish face, scholarly. 
 
Carl, a bus driver, loud and hearty. 

Bo Decker, a young rancher and cowboy, in his early twenties, tall, slim and good looking in an outdoors way. 
 
Vergil Blessing, a ranch hand, a man able to regard Bo in an almost parental way: somewhat older than Bo.  A big man, corpulent and slow moving.
