Additional Auditions for the Pigeon Sisters in Neil Simon's The Odd Couple
at Curtain Call Theatre!

 

Date/Time: Thursday, May 14th 6pm-7pm at Curtain Call Theatre, 210 Old
Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110. Auditions will be conducted with excerpts
from the script. Please email the director, Cindy Bates cindy at batesny.com to
schedule your audition.  

 

About Gwendolyn and Cecily Pigeon (30's): These fun loving and carefree
sisters live in Oscar Madison's building and work at a local gym. Their big
scene in the play happens when Oscar invites them over for a "date" with him
and Felix. The ever neurotic Felix cooks the perfect dinner. until it burns
up! Even though dinner is a disaster, the girls have a blast hanging out
with these crazy guys!

 

Production Dates and Times:  Friday, September 11th to Saturday, October
10th (performances on Thurs at 7:30pm, Fri & Sat at 8pm, Sun at 3pm) 

 

Rehearsals: Begin late July (dates and times to be arranged with actors)

Plot: "This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assembled for cards
in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any
indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix
Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Since he is very fastidious
and none too tense, they fear he might commit suicide and go about locking
all the windows. As the action unfolds, the clean-freak and the slob
ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple
is born."
