Directed by

John Trainor

Characters include

Willum Cubbert . . .

early 30s. Likeable young architect, bright and pleasant but not much of a
go-getter. Seen as needing a little "gumption," especially when it comes to
his girl friend. He owes his life to one Rick Steadman.

Tansy McGinnis . . .

early 30s. Bright and feisty TV weather woman who may have to leave Willum
behind as she pursues her career. She does not need a man in her life but
rather more life in her man.

Axel Hammond . . .

mid 30s. Witty and sarcastic theater critic who contrives a wonderful gift
for Willum. He is Willum's best friend who tries his luck at matchmaking.

Rick Steadman . . .

early 30s. THE NERD. A person lacking social sensitivity and manners,
totally self centered, who drives Willum nuts, but a person to whom Willum
owes a great deal. He works in a chalk factory.

Warnock Waldgrave . . .

mid 40s. A tactless and pompous stuffed shirt for whom Willum is doing
architectural work. He lacks any creative sense, but still wants his own
way.

Clelia Waldgrave . . .

early 40s. Warnock’s very put-upon wife, tense and nervous. To relieve
stress she needs to smash "small things."

Thor Waldgrave . . .

pre teen. The Waldgrave's monster of a son, truly unlikeable. He spends
most of the play hiding.

That's the character snapshot. All the roles are different and fun. The
first four are the major ones.
