*Reminder!!!*

THEATER VOICES will hold auditions for a staged reading of “Trying”, by
Joanna McClelland Glass, directed by Carol Charniga.



*Location*

    Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany - corner of West
Lawrence Street.



*Times*

    Sunday August 8, 3-5pm

    Monday August 9, 7-9pm



Please arrive as close to start time as possible and be prepared to stay
until the end of auditions.  Actors will be asked to read scenes from the
play.



*Needed:*

1 woman age 20s-30s



*Description*:

Set in 1967 when Francis Biddle, former Attorney General under President
Franklin D. Roosevelt and Chief Judge of the Nuremberg trials is 81 years
old and trying to put his life in order. Elegant but sharply cantankerous,
he struggles with the inevitability of his age and failing health. When his
wife forces upon him, a new secretary named Sarah, who is all of 25 years
old, the two struggle to find a way to communicate. Each at dramatically
different places in their lives, they unexpectedly and forever influence
each other.
