Casting Call
The Professional Development Program, Rockefeller College, University at Albany, is seeking actors for a training video to be developed for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). The video will demonstrate a multidisciplinary child abuse investigation team (MDT) or joint investigation team, working together, and using best practices, to determine whether an allegation of sexual abuse is true. Applicants should be aware of the sensitive nature of the subject matter and explicit dialogue required.

Parts to be cast:
Brenda Jones: CPS Caseworker, female, 35
Karen Collins, Carlota's sixth grade teacher
Detective Frank Moran, police officer, male, 40
Carlota, a 12-year-old girl of Latino/Caribbean heritage, who is mildly developmentally delayed (Please note OCFS requirements that the actor playing this role be 18 years or older.)
Mrs. Noonan, Carlota's mother, Hispanic American, 35-40 years old
Mr. Noonan, Carlota's stepfather, race and ethnicity open, 35-40 years old

Auditions for selected candidates will be held in the studio on the OCFS campus in Rensselaer, NY, August-September and successful applicants will be notified. Production will begin in September. It is anticipated that there will be one day of rehearsals and one day of taping at the studio.
