DragonFly Performing Arts brings the enrichment of the performing arts to the community of Greene County.

August 26, 2010



START OFF OUR THIRD SEASON WITH US!

Auditions for DragonFly Performing Arts’ two fall Musicals:

“Snoopy” and “It’s A Wonderful Life”


Auditions will be held on Thursday, September 2nd from 2pm to 7pm.  Both “Snoopy” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be cast from these auditions.  A wide variety of parts for men and women, young and old - are available.  Prepare 16 bars from a song that shows off your voice.  Using a song from one of the shows is ok, or anything else of your choice.

Performances for “Snoopy” will be October 15th-17th and 22nd - 24th.  Performances for “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be December 10th-12th and17th - 19th.  Rehearsals will be begin approximately 6 weeks prior to performances.

“Snoopy” is based on the Charles M. Schulz comic strip Peanuts, and focuses on the life of Snoopy.  Characters include Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Linus, Lucy, Sally and Woodstock.

“It’s a Wonderful Life” is a musical based on the classic 1945 Frank Capra film starring Jimmy Stewart. The story follows that of the film telling the story of a suicidal man whose guardian angel reveals to him how different the world and everyone whose life he has touches would be had he never been born.

Performances will take place at the DragonFly Performing Arts Center located at 473 Main Street in Cairo.
