Looking for 1 man and 1 woman to play the lead roles of Jacob and Sarah. Much attention will be given to their growing relationship. Also needed are a man and woman to play the couple from a neighboring farm. The woman playing Sarah should be thirty to thirty five. Others should be roughly in the 30 to 40 age range.

Also needed is one woman in her early twenties to play the adult Anna who narrates the story through her memories of the time when Sarah first came to stay with the family, culminating in her marriage to her childhood sweetheart. A man in his early twenties is needed for this very small role.

Actors playing Sarah, Jacob, Adult Anna, and male neighbor must sing in an informal style. All children’s roles have been filled.
