SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

*The Young Actors Guild at RPI is currently recruiting 6 African 
American and 2 Hispanic actors and actresses ages 14 – 18 to participate 
in the Capital District’s first amateur production of "HAIRSPRAY" the 
musical. *

*This is a wonderful opportunity for students to attend the Capital 
Region’s longest running performing arts camp (21 years) that is solely 
focused on students ages 6 to 18. It occurs from July 6 – August 8, with 
classes in music, acting, dance, creative writing and stage combat. The 
full program runs from 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday –Friday. Students may also 
choose to participate in HAIRSPRAY rehearsals only, which will be from 1 
– 5pm, Monday – Friday. Performances will be the evenings of August 5, 
6, 7 and 8.*

*The $900 fee will be completely supported with the help from grants 
from HSBC and Stewarts. We are specifically looking for 6 African 
American and 2 Hispanic actors and actresses ages 14 - 18 who love to 
sing and dance. Please call 276-6505 on weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM 
for more information about the program or directions to the RPI 
Playhouse. Auditions will occur at the RPI Playhouse which is on 15^th 
Street on the RPI campus in Troy on Monday evening June 28 at 7 PM. 
Actors should come prepared with 16 bars of music and ready to dance and 
have fun!!!!!!! *
