Town Players of Pittsfield to hold auditions for Forbidden Broadway

The Town Players of Pittsfield announce auditions for their spring production of
Forbidden Broadway. The longest running review in New York history comes to
Pittsfield!

The songs and stars of many Broadway blockbusters are cleverly lampooned in this
cabaret-style comedic review. Your favorite songs from Chicago, Hello Dolly, Fiddler
On The Roof, Les Miserables, Spamalot, Hair Spray, A Chorus Line, Rent and many more
shows are ‘tweaked’ to poke fun at the shows themselves, as well as the stars that
performed them. Carol Channing, Ethel Merman, Bebe Newhirth and Many Patankin are
just a few of the stars who show up to give us the real scoop.

Wanda Libardi will direct Forbidden Broadway for Town Players. Performances are
planned for the first 2 weekends in June. Auditions will be held on Monday and
Tuesday March 22nd and 23rd from 7 PM until 9 PM in the chorus room at Taconic High
School on Valentine Road in Pittsfield. Actors may bring a prepared number with
sheet music, but that is not required. All will be given the opportunity to learn a
song from the show.
