Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama, Inc. seeks performers for a new outdoor theater adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper’s The Last of the Mohicans.  
Auditions: Tuesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 3 at Professor Java’s Coffee Sanctuary, 217 Wolf Road, Albany, NY 12205.  Sign-in begins at 7:00 PM each day.
Rehearsals: Monday – Thursday evenings beginning June 21 in the Northern Capital District. 
Dress/Performance dates:  August 2-10 in the courtyard of Fort William Henry, Lake George.
All positions to be paid a stipend at the completion of contract.
For the audition, please prepare a 30-60 second monologue showcasing vocal projection and be prepared to read from the script.
Seeking the following:
Hawkeye - 40, Honest, straightforward American scout
Chingachgook - 45, Authoritative, imposing Mohican chief
Uncas – 20, Cingachgook’s son: passionate and impulsive
Magua – 30-40, Vengeful, cunning Huron warrior
Major Duncan Heyward - 25-30, Officer of the English, a gentleman from Virginia
Colonel George Munro – 60, British Commander: capable, experienced, professional soldier
Cora Munro – 22, Munro’s dark hair/complexion mixed race daughter: strong and courageous
Alice Munro – 18, Munro’s fairer, genteel daughter
Also 6 athletic men needed to portray soldiers and Native Americans.  These small speaking roles require much running, hand to hand combat, Native American dancing, and firing of muskets.
