Main Characters:
The Ghost: A sassy African American lady that portrays the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and future. Well intended, but not perfect at her job.

Ebenezer Scrooge: (50-70) Old and miserly

Bob Cratchit: (30-40) Gentle family man who is the primary target of Scrooge’s cheapness

Mrs. Bob Cratchit: (30-40) Hard drinking and suicidal. Her harshness to her family surpasses Mommy Dearest by a mile

Tiny Tim: boyish and small in stature—16-25 to play much younger. We may consider younger actors as well. Tiny Tim will also double as one of Fezziwig’s children.

Ensemble Characters:

Little Nell: (16-25) Not little at all (could be tall, heavy or both). Not the sharpest tool in the shed. Will also double in other roles (Mrs. Fezziwig, The Beadle’s Wife, etc)

Gentleman 1 & Gentleman 2 (20-40): Play a wide variety of characters including Mr. Fezziwig, The Beadle, Bartender, George Baily, Edvar, Serena, etc). Versatile comedic actors that can transition quickly between a variety of characters. A Dutch accent from one of these gents would be nice

Ghost of Jacob Marley: (50-60’s) Will also double as Clarence and a bartender

The Nice Mrs. Cratchit: (30-40) Bob’s wife as Dickens wrote her….perfectly pleasant in every way. Will also double as Hedvig and Lovely Irish Voice. Dutch and Irish accents would be nice

Young Ebenezer (male 8-13): doubles as a Cratchit child

Young Jacob Marley (female 8-13) doubles as a Cratchit child and Zuzu
