[Capdist-auditions] Curtain Call Theatre "Sweepers"

Curtain Call Theatre



is looking for 4 actors for John C. Picardi’s “The Sweepers” directed by
Phil Rice.






Production dates are January 14 through February 12. Rehearsals will start
in early December.


Particularly need one woman in her twenties and one man in his twenties.

Also, still auditioning for two women in their forties. These are all
substantial roles in a small ensemble cast.



The play is set in Boston’s Italian neighborhood, the North End, in 1945.



“ . . . plenty of laughs along with a gut-wrenching emotional wallop.”



Character breakdown:



Karen Foletti (F) – mid-20s – Sonny’s bride-to-be, from an upper middle
class Italian –American family, very much the lady



Sonny McCarthy-Cichinelli (M) –  mid-20s - Bella’s son, handsome,
well-educated attorney



Bella Cichinelli (F) – 40s – sexy, stylish Italian –American



Mary DeGrazia (F) – 40’s – stoic, matronly but stylish Italian –American,
always in control



Dotty Larnino (F) – 40’s – jolly Italian –American with a positive manner
and a curious naivety




Readings will be from the script.
