About the Show
Robbie Hart is New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer until his fiancée leaves him at the altar. Heartbroken, he is forced to reexamine the meaning of love and marriage with the help of Julia, a waitress from one of his wedding-singing venues. Based on the hit movie, THE WEDDING SINGER is a look back to the days when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer just might be the coolest guy in the room.
Audition Info
All auditioners should prepare 16 bars of music from a contemporary musical that show range and character. Please bring your own sheet music. A cappella singing or singing with a CD will NOT be allowed. Singing from the show is encouraged but not mandatory. All auditioners should bring comfortable clothes to dance in and appropriate footwear as there will be a dance combination. Auditioners will also be given the opportunity to read from the script.
Auditioners interested in the roles of Robbie and Sammy may bring a guitar, if they play. Those who do and do not play are encouraged to audition. A guitar player is preferred, but ultimately it will come down to the best singer/actor for the roles.
If available, please bring a resume and headshot.
