Broadway is NEXT TO NORMAL - the acclaimed, groundbreaking musical
"that pushes Broadway in new directions" (Rolling Stone). With
a thrilling contemporary score, NEXT TO NORMAL is an emotional
powerhouse of a musical about a family trying to take care of themselves and
each other.
 
Audition
Information
Auditions for children ages 16 - 18(girls) 16 - 22 (boys)will be scheduled for April 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the
Trinity Church, 585 4th Avenue Lansingburgh.  PLEASE make an
appointment during this time to audition!  Call the Troy Acting Guild at
518.269.2123 to make an appointment. To clarify a frequently asked
question, you will be allowed to audition if you turn 16 BEFORE the show
date.

There are 6(4 boys/2
girls)open roles for this production.

The tuition for this program is $175 per person.  There is a $25
audition fee payable at the time of audition.  Tuition is due at the
script pick up (April 20).  Materials will be available for pickup
on April 20.  If you are not cast your uncashed original 
check will be returned within 5-7 business days after the
audition.  

Please come prepared to sing 16 measures and read if requested.  An
accompanist (Please bring sheet music for accompanist) and CD player will be
available, NO a cappella Singing.  Please also prepare the songs
Maybe (for girls) and I'm Alive (for boys) on top of your audition song. 
Please DO NOT sing these songs for your audition.

PLEASE NOTE.... Adult Leads WILL be precast.  ALL teen roles are
available (and double cast 3 performances a piece outlined below).
