Curtain Call Theatre in Latham, NY is holding auditions for the regional
premier of the comedy "Elvis Has Left the Building," directed by Phil Rice.
Auditions are on Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16 from 5:30 to 7:00
p.m. at the theater, 210 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
Production dates are December 2 to December 31, 2011 and rehearsals will
begin in mid October.
The breakdown is as follows:
*Elvis Has Left the Building*

*The Colonel*
Elvis’ manager, a big man with charm and cunning., The Colonel is no hick.
He is an astute business man, a genius at marketing and can turn on the
charm when he chooses to. His single driving passion is to make money at the
expense of others. The guiding symbol of his life is the dollar sign as long
as it is someone else’s dollar. He lives to control and manipulate people
and in fact is an amateur hypnotist. He speaks without any particular
accent but manages to come off as a down to Earth good ole’ boy.

a young, naïve, nerdish office boy with Buddy Holly glasses and square
looking clothes
(Later a convincing Elvis impersonator)

a good looking man in his early 40s A friend of the Colonel's

The Colonel’s capable German secretary. in her late 50’s, efficient,
intelligent and speaks with a heavy Austrian accent sounding at times like
Zsa Zsa Gabor

*Jill Tanner*
an ace newspaper reporter, a woman in her thirties or forties, strong,
confident and a looker. "The mouth of Memphis, a scorpion in a tight skirt."
