Seeking Theatrical Director



As part of a New York Council for the Humanities-funded program series to
take place October 2011, Historic Cherry Hill and Schuyler Mansion State
Historic Site will present a theatrical performance that illustrates the
nuances of power and position found within Albany’s elite during the late
1780’s.



Site staff is seeking a theatrical director who will coordinate all
practical and creative aspects of a dramatic production based on primary
source documents*. *Duties will include assisting with cast selection;
conducting rehearsals; attending production meetings with designers and
technical support;  communicating and liaising with all parties, including
historic site staff, actors, and the production team.



The candidate should also have the ability to guide actors; must be
detail-oriented and have the ability to manage numerous aspects of a
production at one time. Also necessary is willingness for creative
collaboration with historic site staff.



Technical Rehearsal:  Friday, October 7, 2011

Performances (matinee/evening):  Saturday, October 8, 2011
