Opera Saratoga's "Opera to Go" production of . . .
 

                                                            An Opera for Children of All ages, and their Families



                                                            

     Children and families of all ages are invited to Opera Saratoga's "Opera to Go" production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So.Church Street, Schenectady, on Saturday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m. The performance, free of charge and open to the public, is underwritten by Schenectady Civic Players' Gwen Fraser Memorial Fund to give back to the community and excite young people on the magic of the arts. 

          Jack and the Beanstalk, a short, 40-minute opera for young audiences of all ages, manages to be light-hearted, entertaining, and educational all at once.  With story adaptation by John Davies, it is set to the music of, and based on scenes from the operettas of, Sir Arthur Sullivan.  In this adaptation the characters discover that "You must treat other people the same way you would want other people to treat you!"  



          A cookies and punch reception follows.  Open seating.  Reservations not required. Just walk in. Admission is free.
