veteran Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown - Seano Fagan
and friends!  Do you act, sing, dance, play an instrument, do magic?  Come
share all your talents and discover new ones in this one-of-a-kind workshop!

Sean Fagan Bio 

            Sean Fagan wears many hats as the Artistic Director of
<http://www.circustheatricks.com/> Circus Theatricks, introducing young
people of all ages to circus, theatre, and the visual arts in school
programs, summer camps, after-school enrichment settings, and private
coaching. When not teaching, he keeps a full schedule as a variety arts
performer, working on stage, television, and the occasional feature film. A
former Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus clown, Sean's "theatricks"
include a wide range of ground skills proficiency, including juggling,
slapstick, pratfalls, stilt-walking, unicycle, rolling globe, rola-bola,
tumbling, partner acrobatics, magic and more!

            Early in his career he discovered his niche: "family
entertainment and education through the arts." He's honored to have worked
with the Walt Disney Organization, Nickelodeon JR. Television, and the
national and international theatrical tours of Scholastic's Magic School Bus
Live. He has performed at the International Children's Arts Festival in
Singapore, on the streets in Holland, and at the Golden Week Family Festival
in Liuzhou, China

 

            

Stage Combat  Monday (Martin Luther King Day) Jan 16th, 1-3pm

Ages 11-16 

Stage combat instruction teaches skills of collaboration, control, rehearsal
technique, partnering, goal setting, presentation and evaluation. From prat
falls to swordfights, a simple push to an intricate battle, students will
learn safe, repeatable techniques of physical comedy and drama. All
instruction is approached with an emphasis on safety and technique,
emphasizing the importance of acting as the primary tool with which to
create the illusion. Male & Females are encouraged to attend.

 

David Bunce, B.F.A., A.E.A., U.U.P., S.A.F.D.: Teacher/Artist-in-Residence
Theatre Institute at Sage 

 

David Bunce is a Teacher/Artist-in-Residence with the Theatre Institute at
Sage. David was a Teacher/Actor with the New York State Theatre Institute
for 27 years and has been an adjunct Professor at Russell Sage College for
19 years. He has performed in London's West End, Off Broadway, Moscow,
Sweden, Italy, the Middle East and in film, television and on radio. Writing
credits include the screenplays Incisions, Learning to Fly and Gasoline and
Lightning, and a stage adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House
of Usher. David holds a BFA in Acting from Central Connecticut State
University and has taught and choreographed stage combat at SUNY Albany,
Capitol Repertory Company, SCCC and Upstate Independents. He is a proud
member of United University Professions, Actors Equity Association and the
Society of American Fight Directors
