Home Made Theater Holds Open Auditions for 

9 to 5: the Musical

 

Home Made Theater announces open auditions for their October production of
Patricia Resnick's 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL, music and lyrics by Dolly Parton,
directed and choreographed by Laurie Larson, musical direction by Richard
Cherry.  Auditions will be held on Sunday and Monday, May 6th and 7th from
6:30-8:30pm at the Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park. The cast
consists of men and women ranging in age from 20s-50s.

9 to 5: the Musical is a hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the
Rolodex era.  It tells the story of three unlikely friends who conspire to
take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do - even
in a man's world.  Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic,
9 to 5 is about teaming up and taking care of business...it's about getting
credit and getting even.... What a way to make a living!

HMT is looking for strong singers and actors that can move well.  Those
auditioning should prepare 16 - 32 measures of a standard musical number in
their key.   An accompanist will be provided.  Actors are asked to dress
comfortably for auditions.  Actors may be asked to do short movement
excerpts.  Actors should bring a current photo & resume. Photos cannot be
returned.  Actors may be asked to dance at call backs.  If called back
please bring dance shoes.

Production dates are weekends, October 12-28, 2012. Rehearsals begin in late
August with a full schedule beginning September 4th. Some July/August dates
may be scheduled according to availability.  No appointments are necessary
