CAPITAL AREA PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR....

      LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL IS COMING!
      April 20th, 21st and 22nd for 4 Performances to GENET ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in East Greenbush!  

      Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 2pm & 7pm, and Sunday at 2pm. 
     
     


      AUDITIONS:  Friday, January 13th from 5:45-8:45pm at St. Marys Church, 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer (across from Kmart).
      Be prepared to sing at least 16 bars of a Broadway song.  You may also be asked to sing and read from the show.   A dance audition will be required for all.  Please bring photo, resume (if available) and ALLconflicts from 2/15-4/22.

      Tuition for this production is $175.... with $25 due at the time of audition.  If you are cast your audition fee will be applied towards your tuition. If you are cast but decline all fees paid are non refundable.  Anyone not cast will receive their original uncashed check back.  There are approximately 30 roles available for this production!

      Rehearsals will begin FEBRUARY 15th and will take place week nights (NO MONDAYS) and weekends.   THERE ARE NO REHEARSALS OVER THE FEBRUARY VACATION BREAK!!!!   Due to the very limited time frame to rehearse there are only 2 CONFLICTS allowed during the rehearsal process.  Any dates you are NOT available should be brought with you to the auditions and noted on the audition form.

BROOKE WYNDAM - An exercise video star who is also a former sorority girl. Has a great, firm physique. A tough exterior but a heart of gold. A3 - G5 Alto or Soprano

CHUTNEY - Brooke Wyndam's step daughter, affected by her "station" and marginally psychotic

ELLE WOODS - The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality Gb2 - G5 Soprano Belt

ELLE'S DAD - Elle's rich, golfer father D3 - E#4 Baritone

ELLE'S MOM - Elle's socialite, country-clubing mother C4 - E5 Alto

EMMETT FORREST - A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. His charm overshadows his understated good looks. B2 - A4 Tenor

ENID - A mousy, intellectual law student G3 - G5 Soprano Belt

KATE - Elle's Delta Nu sister and consummate bookwork Bb3 - Eb5 Alto

KYLE (UPS GUY) - A great-looking, in-shape employee of the United Postal Services

LEILANI - Elle's Delta Nu sister B3 - Eb5 Alto

STORE MANAGER - G3 - C5 Alto

COURTNEY (SALES WOMAN) - G3 - C5 Alto

MARGOT - Elle's Delta Nu sister, a pretty and funny California sorority girl G#3 - F5 Soprano Belt
PAULETTE - A brash and funny hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself A3 - A5 Soprano Belt

PILAR - Elle's Delta Nu sister, a bossy and feisty California sorority girl G#3 - F5 Soprano Belt

PROFESSOR CALLAHAN - A pompous and manipulative Harvard law professor, a total "shark" A2 - F#4 Baritone

SERENA - Elle's Delta Nu sister, a spirited and sassy California sorority girl G#3 - F5 Soprano Belt

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON - A smart and savvy law student who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend A3 - F5 HUGE Soprano Belt

WARNER HUNTINGTON III - A good-looking, but pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart, The dumbest smartest guy! Eb3 - Ab4 Tenor                                      

JUDGE - Appears in the courtroom scenes/songs towards end of show.          

GRANDMASTER CHAD- Rapper who raps during one of the shows songs

REPORTER- appears at the Beginning of the courtroom scene

D.A. JOYCE REILLY- District Attorney in courtroom case

STENOGRAPHER- Appears in courtroom scene at end of show
