American Heritage Living History Productions is casting for actors and a videographer for the premiere production of a new original outdoor historical drama entitled: Drums Along the Mohawk Outdoor Drama©.
This production is an adaptation of the American classic  Drums Along the Mohawk by Walter D. Edmonds. Walter D. Edmonds was born in Boonville, NY (in nearby Oneida County, NY). His 1936 novel was made into an award winning Hollywood movie in 1939 starring Henry Fonda and Claudette Coburn. Now the story of the Revolutionary War in the Mohawk Valley of upstate New York comes home! The production takes place on a scenic and historical site that is the geographic epicenter of actual events of the American Revolution!
This is a paid opportunity.
Casting for:
1.      NATIVE Cast Members
a.      Speaking and non- speaking
2.      Reenactors-speaking and non- speaking
3.       Fifers and Drummers
4.       Male lead
5.       Female lead
6.       Character roles, both male and female
a.       Patriot, British, Tory and Native
7.       Teenage roles,  both male and female
8.       Non speaking roles
9.       Extras
10.   Orchestral musicians
·         No singing or dancing skills required.
·         Some roles will receive fight direction.
Also needed are:
VIDEOGRAPHER to document the progress of the project from rehearsal to completion.
·         Crew members 
·         Costume makers /seamstresses 
·         Revolutionary War era costumes
·         No travel required for auditions.
 
·        Performance Date: Saturday, August 4, 2012
·         Place: Mohawk, New York (Exit 30 off the NYS Thruway)
·        Please note: This is a one time performance that will be held outdoors rain or shine.
·        Tentative rehearsal schedule:  Sat. July 28 through Friday August 3, 2012 in Albany, NY. (Exit 24 off the NYS Thruway). Dress rehearsal(s) will be on location in Mohawk, NY (Exit 30 off the NYS Thruway).
