Theater Voices will hold auditions for a staged reading of *Black Tie* by
A.R. Gurney, directed by Judy Spevack



Location:

Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany - corner of West
Lawrence Street.



Times:

Sunday, March 18         7-9pm

Monday, March 19         7-9pm

Actors will be asked to read scenes from the play.



Please try to arrive on time, and be prepared to stay.





Cast Breakdown:



*Curtis*,         Middle-aged – 50s

*Curtis’ Father,*          Older         - 70s

*Mimi*, Curtis’s wife.          Middle-aged         - 50s

*Elsie*, their daughter.          20s

*Teddy*, their son         20s



Synopsis:

The younger generation challenges the lifestyle and values of this upper
middle class W.A.S.P. family as they prepare for a family wedding in a not
so traditional setting.

Conflicts develop, secrets are revealed and warmth and humor prevail.
