Blithe Spirit is the smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages. The ingenious plot tells how novelist Charles Condomine invites into his placid country home an eccentric medium in order to learn the language of the occult. Little does he realize that the séance will summon back Charles first wife, now "passed over" for seven years.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and British accents are necessary for this production. Please be prepared to list any conflicts you might have during the rehearsal period which will be mid August through the show in October.

Characters:

Edith (20's - 40's): A nervous and inept Maid

Ruth (mid 40's): Charles second and current wife

Charles (mid to late 40's): Novelist and current husband to Ruth, former husband to Elvira

Dr. Bradman (60ish): Pleasant long time friend of Charles

Mrs. Bradman (60ish): Rather plain, faded wife of the doctor

Madame Arcati (50's to 70's): The local medium

Elvira (mid 40's): Charles first wife who has been "dead" for 7 years
