*Steamer No.10 Theatre proudly announces auditions for:*
*PIPPIN*
*WHEN:*  Wednesday September 12th and Thursday September 13th
*WHERE:* Steamer No 10 Theatre 500 Western Ave.
*TIME*: 6pm-8pm
*WHO*: Anyone ages 14-19
*INFO:* Please prepare 16 bars of a Broadway song. Please BRING sheet music
as you MUST audition with an accompanist.
         Please be dressed to dance, this show involves a lot of movement.
         The show rehearses Thursday evenings. Tech week begins December
4th and runs till we open Dec 7th. These are mandatory rehearsals.

*Leading Player*: Gender negotiable, Written Low Db3 to High A4.

*Pippin*: Tenor or Baritone with capable upper range. Low G2 to High
Ab4/G#4. Also a written falsetto C.

*Charles:* Bass or Baritone. Low G#2 to E4.

*Berthe*: Female, E3 to A4.

*Fastrada*: Mezzo or Soprano C4 to F5.

*Catherine*: Female, F#3 to Db5.

*Lewis*: tiny bit of singing, any male voice. Low E3 to High C4.

*Theo:* In the current book, he sings a little at the end. Tenor or
Baritone, Low E3 to High G4.

*Players:*  10-12 additional actors that can sing and move well. (A blend
of S,A,T &B voice ranges)



Pippin is the story of Prince Pippin's quest to find personal significance.
The Leading Player who is blessed with the gift of magic narrates the
story. Pippin traverses through the trials of war, love, and politics
before finding himself out amongst the peasants - away from the wealth and
privilege of royal life. He ends up falling in love with a good widow,
Catherine. In the end, the Leading Player tries to convince Pippin to just
commit suicide. Pippin resists and decides to spend the rest of his life
with Catherine and her young son.
