Auditions for a Studio Cast Recording of

*The Wrong Box*

By:  Kit Goldstein; Music Director:  Barret Germain; Pianist: Maria Elmer

A musical black comedy based on the farce by Robert Louis Stevenson and
Lloyd Osbourne.

*Audition Date:*  7 pm, Monday, September 24.

*Location*:  Schenectady Theater for Children’s studio at the Rotterdam
Square Mall, near Sears.  93 W Campbell Road, Schenectady, NY.

If you cannot make it to auditions but would like to be part of the CD,
contact Kit at NewClassicMusicals at gmail.com for an appointment.

Bring a non-rock musical theater comedy song and a ballad that show off
your comedic talents and singing range.  *Bring sheet music* - an
accompanist will be provided.  Even though only songs and minimal dialogue
will be recorded, you may be asked to read from the script.  Not required,
but if you can do a British accent, we would like to hear it!

*** Bring a list of any conflicts through December to auditions. ***

*Rehearsals:*  Monday & Wednesday evenings, beginning October 1.

*Recording:*  Late November – December, probably over a weekend.  Bring all
weekend conflict information to auditions.

*Compensation*:  $50 & a completed CD for lead singers.  Completed CD for
chorus singers.

ALSO:

*A dialect coach to assist with British accent is also needed.  *Please

bore, much put upon by his heirs

MORRIS FINSBURY, Joseph's scheming, persecuted nephew

JOHN FINSBURY, a vapid young man.

WILLIAM DENT PITMAN, a painter and a weak, harmless, pathetic little man

GIDEON FORSYTH, a romantic young barrister

WHITE, a stuffy lawyer

GEORGE WICKHAM, a young gentleman of much wealth and a highly vacant mind



*Women:*

JULIA FINSBURY, a sweet young woman who craves adventure

EVELYN, a showgirl

ROSIE, a showgirl



*A Small Chorus with a few solos is also needed.*

CLERK, White's assistant / CONDUCTOR / PORTERS

MRS. WATTS, an innkeeper
