Now the exciting part!

A Family Portrait
Two people meet one fateful night- much to the dismay of their children.

Jerry (African-American, middle-aged) Former Marine with a secret.

Kathleen (middle-aged) Billy's mother. Initially reacts negatively to Jerry, but later becomes very interested.

Billy- A jerk. Owns the coffee shop and a controlling personality.

Gina- Billy's girlfriend. Very sweet, although not terribly bright.

He Said, She Said
A drama about sexual assault that reads like an episode of Law & Order: SVU and will require two extraordinarily brave young actors. The main characters are supported by their lawyers and the judge who hears their case.

Jeannette Humphreys (female, late teens)

Mother (Offstage voice only)

Peter Morton, Defense Attorney

Clarence Conrad, Defendant (male, late teens)

Judge Harold Cain

Susan Levitt, Assistant District Attorney Court Officer

Home Front
Early fall, 1942.  America  is at war. Men from ages 18 to 45 are being drafted and are enlisting to serve their country overseas.   The women left behind are stepping out of their traditional roles to take on the labor left to be done. It is here that we find Charlotte and Mary meeting for the first time.   One holds on to the past while the other looks forward to the future, but despite their difference, they find common ground, on the home front.

Charlotte (early/mid 20's to early 30's) A young housewife and mother, devoted to her family and her way off life. She tends to be somewhat chatty, preferring to chat rather than think about life too deeply.

Mary (early/mid 20's to early 30's) A forward thinking factory worker who has stepped in to take on the jobs left open by the war. She is not one for keeping secrets.

Inherit from Win
The Worthington family has gathered for the reading of matriarch Winifred's will, pitting her son and daughter – who never saw eye to eye – against one another in a battle of wits over who deserves the estate. Secrets are revealed and old grudges renewed, as the quirky will forces the extended family to tell all. But the estate lawyer already knows how this farce ends and gleefully presides over the ensuing melee.

Maxine Johnson: 60s. Lawyer and devoted friend of the deceased matriarch, with whom she shares a quirky sense of humor.

Winford Edmund Worthington: 50's. Winifred's son. Proud of coming from money, full of himself. Fancies himself as the patriarchal head of the entire family.

Muffy Worthington: Winford's third wife. Late 20s-30s. Married for the money. Capable and earnest.

Anastasia Worthington: Winford's adopted daughter (from frist marriage). 20s. Well intentioned but oblivious.

Chauncey Worthington: Winford's son (from first marriage). 20s. Gay. Not closeted, but never came out to the family. Clever but disinterested in family politics.

Thaddeus Charles Buckminster: Winford's stepson (from second marriage). Late teens/early 20s. Third generation money on his mother's side. Resents feeling excluded from the family.

Lorraine Worthington: 50s. Winifred's daughter. Never married and has distanced herself from the upper-crust, monied lifestyle of the family. Down to earth.

Carmichael “Mikey” Worthington: Lorraine's daughter. 30s. An ex-con. Smokes marijuana. Small time criminal. Always looking for a fight.

Tyfani Worthington: Lorraine's daughter. late teens/early 20s. Poorly educated and not very bright. Mother of young twins.

Ringing in the New Year with Goofus and Gallant
You may remember Goofus and Gallant, from your days reading Highlights for Children.  Now they are all grown up but not much has changed!  Ringing in the New Year With Goofus and Gallant gives us a peek into where there lives have gone since their days being followed by that mysterious narrator, always commenting on their behavior.  As it turns out New Year’s Eve may bring about a long imagined change of events for the two gentlemen.

Goofus (male)

Gallant (male)

Voice

The Night They Buried Judy Garland
Set in the 80s, a man returns to his family's home for the first time in years for his father's funeral. He faces conflicting responsibilities to his family and his community.

Stephen - Early 30s. "A pair of well pressed trousers and a good jaw line." But the flippant and witty comments hide passion, dedication and honesty.

Sue-Beth - Early 30s. "Dumb as turnips." Sweet mill-town girl. All the politics she needs she gets at the beauty parlor.

Esther - 80s. "May outlive the other two." A grande dame, part of society by her own choice. Community and responsibility are her virtues though honesty is right up there. Stephen's aunt.

We're looking forward to seeing many shiny-new and/or well-seasoned actors at auditions!
