[Capdist-auditions] Reminder: New Play Festival Auditions this week (CLT)

Colonial Little Theater New Play Festival 

 

In its 75th season, Colonial Little Theater is
happy to announce auditions for its annual New Play Festival, which will
consist of a weekend  of short plays and
a weekend of a full-length play.  These
are staged readings with minimal rehearsal time, so come and try out.  It is a chance to work with new material not
previously staged.  All experience
levels welcome.  The auditions and the
plays themselves will take place at 1 Colonial Court in Johnstown.  Auditions will take place October 1st
and 2nd.  6:30-8:30.
Those wishing to participate but unable to audition are encouraged to contact
the director.

undergoes a sort of spiritual journey as the person in the apartment next store
to her turns out to be God.

Egged on by a more computer savvy friend, a man agrees to go
on a blind date, but a miscue caused by a computer glitch causes him to meet up
with the male version of his ideal woman.

On a blind date, a man meets a woman who seems stuffy and
cold, as the process unfolds like a nightmarish job interview.  And yet, attraction ensues nonetheless. 

 

A Good Therapist Is Hard to Find by Genevieve Aldi –

A couple goes to marriage counseling and encounters a young,
perky therapist.  As the couple bickers
more and more, the perkiness wanes and the couple comes to understand each
other better.

A young gay man contemplates suicide in a hotel room, as a
hotel maid tries to talk him out of it by relating to her own life struggles.
