SYNOPSIS:

BRINK is an independent feature-film, written and directed by Shanna
Becker. Within the context of a single catastrophic event, the elaborate
lives of ordinary people become fundamentally connected. These stories
unfold throughout a retelling of the events that lead them all, by chance
or by fate, to the same place at the same time. While a single entity,
BRINK is composed of multiple short films, woven together into an intricate
fabric that reveals each plotline on a personal and intimate level.

⦁ Auditions/Screen Tests: August 3 & 4, 2013
⦁ Principal Photography: September - November 2013
⦁ Most roles will require 2-3 days of shooting.
⦁ Must have reliable transportation and/or be located in or have housing in
Central NY/Surrounding Mohawk Valley area (Between Utica & Albany, NY).
⦁ Tentative Release/Premiere Screening: Summer 2014
⦁ Film will be submitted to festivals.

AVAILABLE ROLES:

SARAH (Sarah Singleton-Sharpe) 20's - 30's
Soft, pretty ingenue-type. Browbeaten wife of PAUL.

PAUL (Paul Sharpe) 30's - 40's
Late 30's, dictatorial, brutish and self-entitled husband to SARAH. Husky
in voice, build and demeanor—Bostonian in prententiousness and accent.
Rules with iron fist, and is not afraid to use it. (Regional Dialect:
Boston/Eastern Mass)

AEDEN (Aeden James) 20's - 30's
Charismatic and upbeat hero-type divorcé. Handsome. Former college amour of
SARAH.

OLIVER (Oliver Straub) 30's - 40's
Unkempt, jobless and accident-prone "ne'er-do-well" former exec with
weakness for prescription meds, and overbearing mother VIRGINIA.

VIRGINIA (Virginia “Ginny” Straub) 50's - 60's
Well-preserved, bedazzled in jewels and furs widower, mother of OLIVER.

KIRK (Kirk Ryder) 30's - early 40's
Rugged, attractive singer/songwriter. Divorced father of teenage son,
JAMES, with ex-wife ELIZABETH. (Must play guitar and sing well.)

SOFIA (Sofia Rios) Plays young 20's or early 30's
Svelte & sexy, young, tanned and long-limbed artist girlfriend of KIRK.
(Regional Dialect: Pidgin Spanglish/Broken English; Must be comfortable in
various states of undress, NO NUDITY.)

MRS. EVANS (Lorna Evans) 55+/Senior
Elderly nosy tenant in Kirk's building.

ELIZABETH (Elizabeth “Liz” Cameron-Ryder) 30's - 40's
Former beauty queen/realtor turned functioning alcoholic. Vicious ex-wife
of KIRK, and mother to JAMES.

JAMES (James Ryder) Adolescent-Teen
Loner son of KIRK and ELIZABETH.

CAROLYN (Carolyn Keene) 20's
Average jane. Soft features. Wife of ADAM, homemaker, mother of 2 suffering
from PPD.

ADAM (Adam Keene) 20's
Average joe. Budding journalist husband of CAROLYN. Struggles to be
understanding.

WAITRESS 40's - 70's
JACKSON 30's - 50's
BARISTA Female, 18+
KEENE TODDLER
KEENE INFANT
TELLER Any

EXTRAS All Ages

AUDITION INFORMATION:
Auditions (by appointment) will be held at CAPA, 34 Reed Street,
Canajoharie, NY 13317 on Saturday August 3, and Sunday August 4. Audition
times will be scheduled as the date approaches. Sides from the script will
be provided prior to auditions. All auditions will be conducted via film
test. No video/e-mail submissions will be considered at this time. Please
