Curtain Call Theatre (Latham, NY) will be holding auditions for their
upcoming production of

 

"One Slight Hitch"

 

by Lewis Black, directed by Kevin Gardner

 


Location:          Curtain Call Theatre, 210 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110

Date:                Mon, April 29  (with possible callbacks Tue, April 30)

Time:               7:00pm - 9:00pm

 

Rehearsals: Start late July/early August 2013

Performance Dates: September 6 through October 5, 2013 (Thu 7:30pm, Fri &
Sat 8pm, Sun 3pm) 

 

There is no need to make an appointment. Sides will be available at the
audition.

Please bring a picture and resume (attached), if you have them.

Dearly beloved, fasten your seatbelts! A smart modern farce from The Daily
Show's Lewis Black. Life in Cincinnati is good for Doc and Delia Coleman on
the morning they plan to throw their eldest daughter the lavish wedding they
never had, until one slight hitch wreaks glorious havoc on all of their
plans. One Slight Hitch delivers a riotous and strangely romantic ride
through the deconstruction of one family's equilibrium. Takes place in the
summer of 1981.

 

 

The following roles are available:

(The ages listed are the character ages. Actors could be older/younger but
must "read" the appropriate age, particularly the role of P.B.)

 

Doc Coleman: age 40s - 50s. The father. A General Practitioner. A charming,
eccentric conservative. Usually straight-up. 

 

Delia Coleman: age 40s - 50s. The mother. In a constant state of panic.

 

Ryan: age early 30s. Until nine months ago, he had lived with Courtney for
two and a half years.

 

P.B. Coleman: daughter, age 16. Loosest in family. (NOTE: If interested in
this role, please email cct.production at gmail.com and request a copy of
P.B.'s monologue to prepare for the audition.)

 

Melanie Coleman: daughter, age 20 something. Nurse. Attractive and
psychotic.

 

Courtney Coleman: daughter, age 20 something. Free-lance writer. Has just
published her first novel which was almost successful.

 

Harper: age early 30s. Logical and Wealthy. Engaged to Courtney.

 

 

This is a non-union production. There is NO PAY/NO FEE. Local hires, or
those able to provide their own housing, desired.
