[Capdist-auditions] Actor Needed Immediately!!

 Mill City Productions in North Adams, MA is looking for an actor 
for their fall production of "Harvey" for the role of Dr. Lyman 
Sanderson.  He would need to convincingly play someone in their thirties
 .  



When Elwood P.
 Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a 
six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, 
Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. 
She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter,
 Myrtle Mae, and their family from future embarrassment. Problems arise,
 however, when Veta herself is mistakenly assumed to be on the verge of 
lunacy when she explains to doctors that years of living with Elwood's 
hallucination have caused her to see Harvey also! The doctors commit 
Veta instead of Elwood, but when the truth comes out, the search is on 
for Elwood and his invisible companion. 

 

Rehearsals are underway at the Mill City Theatre in Building 4N 
(next to the Visitor's Center) of the Western Gateway Heritage State 
Park in North Adams, MA. Performances are scheduled for October 18th-20th & October 25th- 
27th.

 is a non-profit, community-based, multigenerational collaborative 
focused on creating an outlet for expression and education for 
theatrical veterans and novices alike. Our goal is to create a 
theatrical troupe to serve the community of North Berkshire County, 
Massachusetts, with theatre that is both entertaining and accessible to 
those with limited live theatre resources, and educational for both 
individuals and organizations, such as schools, as to the methods and 
means of theatre production.
